Decide whether legal AI is worth it.
In one half-day workshop.
Margo Legal measures one repeated contract workflow in your firm, using your own numbers, and delivers a written recommendation: fix the process, buy a tool, run a small supervised pilot, or stop, for independent law firms in England and Wales with 2 to 20 fee earners.

One workflow. One half-day. One written decision.
Margo Legal is an independent legal-AI consultancy run by one person. It is not a law firm and the Workshop is not a software sale.

Score a workflow
Answer 12 practical questions in about 10 minutes. The result appears on screen without an email address or client documents.
Speak with the founder
A 20-minute fit call checks whether the workflow, evidence and people can support a useful decision. A no-fit answer is valid.
Run the Workshop
A fixed-fee half-day workshop ends in a written recommendation: fix the process, buy a tool, run a small supervised pilot, or leave it alone.
The score and the call exist so neither of us pays for a Workshop that should not happen. Nothing gets automated without a named person at your firm approving it first.
Define. Measure. Decide. Pilot or Stop.
Start with the work as it happens today. Introduce technology only if the evidence and the responsible people support it.
Define the work
Name the trigger, output, people and exceptions. A vague ambition to use AI does not pass this stage.
Evidence
Build the Baseline
Count the work and sample how it moves. Record corrections and hidden effort before estimating value.
Evidence
Compare Credible Routes
Compare the same four choices: fix the process, buy a tool, run a small supervised pilot, or leave it alone.
Evidence
Run a small supervised pilot
Proceed only with a responsible person, approved safeguards, clear measures and stop conditions.
Evidence
Tool-First vs. Evidence-First
The difference is not the amount of AI. It is whether the firm can explain the problem, the evidence and the decision.

Questions firms ask before the tool discussion.
What does Margo Legal do?
Margo Legal helps an independent law firm define and measure one repeated legal workflow, then compare four routes: fix the process, buy a tool, run a small supervised pilot or leave it alone. The paid Workshop ends with a written decision, not a software deployment.
Who is Margo Legal for?
The current method is designed for independent law firms in England and Wales that can name a repeated workflow, a responsible owner and the people who approve change. The free score can also show that a workflow is not ready for a paid discussion.
Does Margo Legal recommend a legal AI product?
No product is assumed at the start. The firm first records its present workflow, numbers, approval route and review standard. A product purchase is only one possible recommendation, alongside fixing the process, running a controlled pilot or making no change.
What should a firm measure first?
Start with monthly volume, qualified lawyer time, turnaround, corrections and write-offs for one clearly defined workflow. Those measures create a baseline for comparing completed and supervised work. They are more useful than timing the first AI-generated draft on its own.
